Thanks to special partnerships, LGI sources wines from the Provence area, where making rosé is a long-standing tradition.
The Provençal vineyard is nestled between the Mediterranean and the Alps… Under the southern sun, this scenery is absolutely breath-taking. Provence is also one of the oldest wine regions in France, as the Phoceans introduced grapevine 2,600 years ago, when they founded the city of Massalia, Marseille in ancient Greek. Four centuries after the Phoceans, the Romans began to settle on Provençal land. Grape-growing boomed starting in the High Middle Ages, thanks to local abbeys.
Since that time, the tradition and art of wine-making have come a long way, but the grape has never left the region!
